READ MOREDo you love a good scare? Then check out the 19th Annual Halloween Horror Marathon at the Coolidge Corner Theatre on Saturday, October 26th. This movie showcase features 12 hours of spine-tingling ghost stories and is a great way to get into the spirit of the spooky season.
The fun starts just before midnight on Saturday, October 26th. The first movie to be screened is The Amityville Horror, a 1979 film about one of the most chilling haunted houses. That will be followed by Poltergeist, an early ‘80s haunted house thriller from the minds of Tobe Hooper and Steven Spielberg. The spookiness doesn’t end there, though. Another five films will play afterward, and won’t be announced until they hit the screen. It’s Halloween Horror Marathon tradition, after all.
Along the way, you can take part in a costume contest, enjoy a “paranormal presentation” by the New England Ghost Project, and enjoy old trailers from the Coolidge vaults. It is sure to be one scary good time! The Coolidge Corner Theatre is located at 290 Harvard Street in Brookline.
